Asahi Pentax KM 35m SLR Body

This Pentax KM, serial number 8206961 , is an excellent example of Pentax's first generation of K-mount SLR cameras. Introduced in 1975, it combined the reliability of the Spotmatic series with the convenience of the new Pentax K bayonet system.

The KM is a fully mechanical 35mm SLR, requiring a battery (LR44) only for its built-in light meter. All shutter speeds, from one second to 1/1000s and Bulb, function independently of electrical power, making it a highly dependable photographic tool. Lightmeter reacts

Compared with the better-known K1000, the KM offers several valuable additional features, including a self-timer and depth-of-field preview, making it a favourite among experienced film photographers. Many Pentax enthusiasts regard it as one of the most balanced cameras of the original K-series.
