The Belfoca is a classic German medium format folding camera from the 1950s, produced by the Belca Werk in Dresden. It uses 120 roll film and was designed for 6x9 cm exposures. With the appropriate 6x6 cm mask, it can also be used for square 6x6 photography.
This version is fitted with a Feinmess Dresden lens and a Priomat leaf shutter. The Priomat shutter was used on several Belfoca versions and provides a simple range of shutter speeds, depending on the specific version, together with B. The camera also features a folding bellows and a simple frame finder.
The supplied number 37/361/1001 corresponds to the company numbering found on Belfoca cameras from this period. The combination of Belfoca, Feinmess Dresden and Priomat makes this an interesting example of the post war photographic industry in Dresden.
Note: the supplied description "Priomat 50mm f/4.5" does not quite match the usual Belfoca specifications. Known Belfoca versions feature a Feinmess Dresden Bonotar or Bonar 105mm f/4.5 lens. It would therefore be worth checking the exact markings on the lens.
