Canon FD 50mm f/3.5 Macro

The Canon FD 50mm f/3.5 Macro is one of the most respected macro lenses within the classic Canon FD system and is well known for its excellent optical performance and compact design. The lens was developed for close-up photography, reproduction work, and product photography, while also delivering exceptionally sharp and contrast-rich results in general use. Thanks to its neutral color rendering and low distortion, the lens remained popular for many years among both professional and amateur photographers alike.

Like many Canon macro lenses from this era, the FD 50mm f/3.5 features all-metal construction and extremely precise manual focusing. Optical performance remains highly impressive, with excellent sharpness across the entire image frame and strong detail rendering for close-up applications. When paired with an extension tube, the lens could achieve even greater magnification ratios for true macro photography.

This example, serial number 57866, remains in very good condition. The lens retains a clean cosmetic appearance and remains an excellent choice for photographers and collectors seeking a high-quality vintage macro lens within the Canon FD system.
