The Konica Auto S2 is one of the most celebrated Japanese 35mm fixed-lens rangefinder cameras from the 1960s.
It is best known for its legendary Hexanon 45mm f/1.8 lens, renowned among street and analogue photographers for its impressive sharpness, contrast, and smooth bokeh. The camera offers both shutter-priority auto-exposure (EE mode) and full manual exposure control, allowing it to be used effortlessly even if the meter strays.
The viewfinder is bright and features automatic parallax correction. The camera has been tested with a PX625 battery and is mechanically fully functional. The internal CdS light meter is active, though not entirely accurate (a common variance often caused by voltage differences in modern battery chemistry versus original 1.35V mercury cells).
Status: Tested with PX625 battery and working
Condition: Pre-owned vintage condition; mechanically sound, light meter active but slightly inaccurate
