Leica Digilux 2 with Vario-Summicron 7–22.5mm f/2 (problems)

The Leica Digilux 2 is a high-quality digital camera from the early 2000s, equipped with a fixed Leica Vario-Summicron 7–22.5mm f/2 zoom lens. The camera is renowned for its classic controls, superior optics, and compact digital design. Externally, this unit is in good condition and comes with the original box, cables, the original battery, and an additional newly purchased battery. The main issue is that the image remains black; the camera does not display a picture. However, the menu is visible, indicating that the LCD screen is functioning. The problem likely lies with the electronics or the sensor. Consequently, the camera is being sold as defective, intended for repair, collectors or parts.
