The Rollei ORTHO 25 is characterized by a high sensitivity reserve of up to two openings, depending on the development. The document emulsion offers extraordinary sharpness with the finest grain. The Rollei ORTHO 25 is very suitable for technical-scientific applications and as a halftone film in pictorial photography (eg Street photography, landscape shots, portraits. So-called low contrast developers are best suited, who bend the gradation so that, among other things, the richness of tones takes over (more grayscale)). The relatively clear PE carrier material offers the possibility to use it as a black and white slide film.

Technical-scientific application:
• For reproductions,
• X-ray reproductions,
• astrophotography,
• black and white and blue slides,
• for graphic alienation. Especially for this application we recommend the Rollei High Contrast (RHC) developer (1 + 5, 3-5 min.). Halftone film in pictorial photography: For the highest demands on sharpness and fine grain, the Rollei ORTHO 25 offers excellent results in combination with the fine-grain compensation developer Rollei Supergrain (RSG). The Ortho 25 has built a legendary reputation in conjunction with the Rollei Low Contrast developer. These results are reminiscent of the quality of technical pan foils. The relatively steep gradation is deflected by this special developer. In this way an extremely fine grain and the highest sharpness in combination with pronounced gray values are achieved.
