The Olympus OM Accessory Shoe 1 is a purpose-built detachable flash shoe designed for early-generation Olympus OM SLR camera bodies, specifically the original Olympus OM-1 and OM-2 (non-'n' variants). To maintain a streamlined viewfinder prism design, these cameras required an external accessory shoe screwed directly into the threaded port above the eyepiece. Featuring a standard center sync contact, Shoe 1 enables full compatibility with manual and auto-thyristor flash units of that era.
