The Paillard Bolex B8 (manufactured in Switzerland during the 1950s) is a premium Double 8mm (Standard 8) cine camera featuring a high-precision Swiss spring-wound clockwork motor.
This unit is equipped with a rotating three-lens turret featuring a versatile setup of optics:
-
Kern-Paillard Yvar 13mm f/1.8: The original high-quality Swiss standard prime lens.
-
Kinostar 6mm f/1.9 (Wide Angle): A fast wide-angle optic suited for expansive landscapes and tight spaces.
-
Kinotel Telephoto Lens: A dedicated telephoto optic designed to capture distant subjects in detail.
The camera offers variable filming speeds from 8 to 64 frames per second and an optical viewfinder with framing guides. Operating via an internal spring motor, it requires no batteries.
This setup is fully tested: the spring mechanism runs smoothly across frame rates, the shutter responds correctly, and all three lenses (Yvar, Kinostar, and Kinotel) feature clean, clear optics.
Condition: Good condition, spring motor and shutter tested and working well, all 3 lenses clean.
