Pentax ME Super

Produced from 1979 to 1986, the Pentax ME Super is the acclaimed successor to the original Pentax ME, celebrated as one of the most compact full-featured 35mm SLRs ever engineered. Unlike its predecessor which was strictly aperture-priority, the ME Super introduced a manual exposure mode operated via push-buttons adjacent to the shutter release button rather than a conventional shutter dial.

It incorporates an electronically controlled vertical-travel metal focal-plane shutter capable of speeds from 1/2000s to 4s. For battery-free operation (or emergency battery loss), it includes a mechanical backup speed of 1/125s (X-sync) and Bulb. The viewfinder is notably large and bright, featuring a clean vertical LED display for shutter speed information.
