Pentax SP1000 with SMC Takumar 55mm f/2 Lens

The Pentax SP1000 is a classic 35mm SLR from the Asahi Pentax Spotmatic series, introduced in the 1970s. It is known for its straightforward, largely mechanical operation. The camera uses the M42 screw mount, making it compatible with a wide range of vintage lenses.

This set includes a Pentax SP1000 body and an SMC Takumar 55mm f/2 lens. The standard focal length is suitable for everyday photography and portraits. The Super-Multi-Coating (SMC) helps reduce reflections and maintain contrast.

The camera body shows considerable signs of use. The battery compartment can no longer be opened, so the light meter cannot be accessed or used in the normal way. The camera can still be operated manually, as the shutter is mechanically controlled and does not require a battery. The accuracy of the shutter speeds and the optical and mechanical condition of the lens have not been specified.

The lens has a small dent on the exterior. This is a cosmetic defect, although its effect on operation or image quality depends on the exact location of the damage.
