Praktica Super TL body

The Praktica Super TL is a classic 35mm SLR from the former East Germany, manufactured by Pentacon. Thanks to its fully mechanical shutter and the popular M42 screw mount, it became a favourite among both amateur and advanced photographers. The M42 mount provides access to an extensive range of lenses from Pentacon, Carl Zeiss Jena, Meyer-Optik Görlitz, Asahi Pentax (Takumar), Chinon, and many other manufacturers. This example features a smooth-working shutter. The built-in light meter does not respond, but since the Praktica Super TL is fully mechanical, this does not prevent the camera from being used. Exposure can easily be determined with a smartphone light meter app or an external light meter.
