Revere Eight Model 84 8mm Movie Camera

The Revere Eight Model 84 is an American 8mm movie camera introduced around 1953. It uses Double 8 film on spools and is powered by a wind up spring mechanism, so no batteries are required.

The camera features a rotating lens turret that allows different lenses to be used. Depending on the version, the Model 84 was supplied with a 13mm lens with a maximum aperture of f/1.9 or f/2.8. Features include multiple filming speeds, including slow motion settings, a built in viewfinder and footage counter. Single frame exposures are also possible for titles and special effects.

An interesting piece of American film history for collectors and enthusiasts of classic amateur cinematography.
