The Yashica Minister D 35mm rangefinder camera was manufactured in Japan from 1963. The light meter no longer works.
The lens barrel has an LVS (Light Value Setting) ring to set the exposure level. The ring has LV numbers from 2 to 17. By just turning the LVS ring, the aperture ring automatically adjusts to maintain the same exposure level, giving this camera a sort of shutter-priority mode. The shutter ring automatically rotates when the minimum or maximum aperture is reached.
Shutter works.
Serial number of the camera is T 048042
